Setup: setting up Bluetooth link was quick and easy. In minutes I am ready to go. 2. Keyboard: it feels really good to type on this keyboard. The keys are sensitive. They are not too small, well spaced and are easy to type with. 3. Stand-up feature: It holds the stand-up position really well without falling over like my other cases. Now I can watch movie comfortably. 4. Style: It looks really nice and fits the Note perfectly. I love the leather exterior. For Aluminum alternative, search for B00A2ZEMBQ) (Electronics) This was the first bluetooth keyboard case that we purchased to pair with our Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1; however due to a few quirky traits, we will have to search for a better choice. Here is a brief overview:THE CASE Unfortunately this case missed the mark for us. We were initially pleased with the outer portion of the case, but were disappointed to discover that the interior really looks and feels very cheap. Also, we noticed that this case doesn't have any mechanism for securing the tablet when the case is open ( it just has a small unsecured flap that tucks behind the tablet). Luckily, the Note 10.1 fits very snugly in the case, so it is doubtful that it would fall out easily under normal circumstances. The keyboard, on the other hand, fits inside the case well and appears to be very secure (it doesn't appear to be removable). Its overall functionality is a different story though... THE KEYBOARD Overall, the ke yboard also turned out to be somewhat of a disappointment. First of all, it is not as responsive as we would have liked. In other words, you really need to hit the keys forcibly to get a decent response. We estimate that we could probably type faster on the Note 10.1 than on this keyboard, which makes it virtually useless. The other major flaw that we discovered is that the "shift key" is missing from the right side of the keyboard. This key is a necessity for serious typist and is sorely missed. We should also mention that several of our staff members feel that the keys on the keyboard are too close together for comfort. On the bright side, the keyboard does have several "hot keys" for most of the basic tablet functions, and is a borderline decent alternative for those of us who don't feel like cleaning our screens every couple of hours to get rid of those pesky fingerprints. I saw first user's review and thought it was helpful. This item arrived exactly as described. It fits great and feels solid, but not intrusive. Big reason we ordered this case is that she is not used to the touch screen keyboard, but now she can use the keyboard come with the case comfortably. The leather cover feels great. The cover can be set to stand up position, great for watching video. Overall, we are very satisfied with this case. |
