Don't spend the inflated Apple price for memory, just order the minimum and get some great sticks here on Amazon. Installing is a cinch, just unscrew three screws in a designated cover under the stand and the memory is right there ready to be swapped out. Actually, the memory is probably the only user-serviceable part on the iMac. Installation took about 5 minutes and the Macbook recognized the increased memory instantly. Kingston is a reliable DIMM manufacturer and offers a much more cost effective upgrade option than buying direct from Apple.
